I highly, highly recommend Surfer Blood‘s debut album Astro Coast. It’s out now on Kanine. Pitchfork gave it an 8.2 and claimed Surfer Blood as being best new music.
Astro Coast contains the fantastic single, “Swim”. Take a minute or 3:21 and listen. This is only video I could find with a working embed code that contained the entire song. The actual video for “Swim” can be found on both Pitchfork and Kanine’s main page. You should definitely watch it.
And for all my ATLeins, Surfer Blood is playing a live in-store show at Criminal Records in Little 5 Points. The event is all ages, FREE and at 7 pm on Friday, Feb. 19. They will also be at the Drunken Unicorn later the same night.
So many cool things are happening this weekend.

It was suggested to me on Facebook and I think it is honestly one of the coolest things on the internet. Analog Apartment is all about vinyl, all the time. They update you on the latest products and information about vinyl. Its completely interactive making it completely awesome.
Another thing that makes this site that much cooler is My Analog Apartment. A place that you can log all of the vinyl you have and keep a list of all the vinyl you want. Its simple and great.
So for all of you vinyl junkies out there, check these two places out.
You can also follow Analog Apartment on Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. You can also join their emailing list for all of the latest news.
