The Soundmen are at it again, remixing great songs and putting their own unique twist. And it’s no surprise to me that I love the newest remix featuring “That Tree” – Snoop Dogg & Kid Cudi.
From The Soundmen:
The Soundmen have taken Snoop and Cudi’s new single “That Tree” and turned it into a space disco jam where George Clinton, New Order, Passion Pit, and Modest Mouse would all be playing at the same time. Its an extremely fun record whose goal is helping to bring the listener through those last weeks of winter and into spring. I hope you enjoy!
The Soundmen are the NYC/Seattle production duo of Justin Jamison and Scott Durday. They have produced and remixed records for artists such as Glasvegas, The Drums, Super Viral Brothers, 33hz, P.SO (AOK Collective), Ron Browz, G Dep and many others.

If you haven’t listened to and/or downloaded yet, you need to. Like now.
It features some of the coolest remixes from Atlanta’s rappers. I am particularly fond of the Memory Tapes remix of Dem Getaway Boyz – Imma G, but the whole thing is pretty spectaular if you ask me. And its from [adult swim], which just screams awesomeness. Take a listen to my favorite track and then follow the link to listen to the other remixes and downloads.
As many of you all know, I really enjoy mixes. Like really enjoy them. I think it is so cool how people can listen to something and know exactly what to add to it or mash it up with to make it sound incredible.
Well, there is a mix extraordinaire out there that’s worth mentioning. 8-bit Slave hails from New York and has a lot to offer.
Sounding like a cross between Crookers, David Guetta, Timbaland, and Just Blaze, 8-bit Slave is influenced by a wide range of styles and refrains from calling one genre his comfort zone. He can produce House, Electro, Minimal, Hip Hop, or Pop, but tends to weave in & out of all those genres while incorporating elements of those and other styles into his sound. He doesn’t like to be classified into a single genre and caters to going beyond and discovering, rather than warming up the copy machine and cloning.
Both of these songs are are great to begin with, but The Soundmen make them that much better.
Great dance tracks. Check ‘em out and download ‘em (Click on the song titles).
Seriously, you won’t be disappointed.
The Soundmen have done it again, another incredible remix from the remix extraordinaries. This time they have remixed The Killers song ‘Human’. To be honest, I don’t really care for the song, but this remix makes me love it. The beat they have added to this mediocre song makes it shine. I’m sure you will agree. Take a listen and download it here.
The Soundmen did this remix to honor The Killers’ new live album, Live from Royal Albert Hall, due out November 9th.
What came out was a driving and anthemic version of the song which is more geared towards a soundtrack of slow motion car wrecks as opposed the original’s disco ball roots. Enjoy!!! – The Soundmen
The Soundmen are the production/dj/remix duo of Justin Jamison and Scott Durday. These awesome guys “enjoy surfing, eating healthy, Seattle, New York, good music and good press.”
Well, they have done it again. Another hot track that is dancetastic, mixtastic and any other tastic you can think of it.
The Soundmen return once again with a club ready remix for Amanda Blank’s new single “Might Like You Better”. Unlike the slew of remixes out there, this one isn’t a Justice/Cut Copy knock-off that blends into every downtown set. The Soundmen take Blank’s sex-drenched lyrics and build a sound bed of rhythmic noise that is sure to make your head nod while wondering what sound you just heard.
