Check out this slightly NSFW (there’s a few nip slips) for Sun Glitters‘ track “Love Me (:papercutz Remix). This gorgeous video was created by Vladimir Miladinovic and Suna Su.
This track is out on Everything Could Be Remodeled and That’s Fine! on UFolk Records (run by the talented Mikey aka Blackbird Blackbird).
Check out this delicious remix of this 33Hz track “See the Light” by my favorite remix masters, The Soundmen. You will need space to move your body. This track along with the original and other remixes are available on iTunes. And check out The Soundmen’s website for some other great tracks.
Remixes are definitely my thing. There’s something really interesting and creative about taking a song someone else has created and altering it into something else. You can still hear the original voice, but now with an added element. It’s amazing.
That being said, I’m completely obsessed with this remix of D/R/U/G/S track “Love/Lust” by one of my favorites, Keep Shelly in Athens. Check it out below.

The Soundmen, AKA Scott Durday and Justin Jamison, never cease to amaze and delight my ears with their insane remixes of songs that I might not like otherwise. Seriously. And this remix is no exception. These remix masters have created something incredible with Riot Song by Johnny Polygon featuring Kid Cudi.

The Soundmen are at it again. This time they have remixed and recreated Local Natives‘ “World News”.
These guys have taken this already incredible song and have transformed it into an 80′s dance track that you will probably play over and over again.
Always pushing their genre crossing sounds to the next level, The Soundmen have remixed Local Natives – World News into a groove heavy blend that takes the song back into the days when Pet Shop Boys, Peter Gabriel and INXS were playlist standards.

About a week or so ago the guys of Local Natives released stems to the songs from Gorilla Manor on a microsite they set up. For the cost of an email address you can download the stems and create something out of these incredible tunes. And the remixes are posted on the site for people to listen to. Suckers’ remix of “Wide Eyes” got the ball rolling and now there are five others to check out including this one from Teen Daze.

Here’s the remix from Suckers for you to enjoy in case you missed it.
This is a seriously fantastic remix of Morning Benders’ “Cold War” by Wallpaper.

And then go and download it here. While you’re there check out the song “Go Grab a Stranger”. It’s awesome, of course.
If that isn’t enough for you to handle, the Morning Benders will be playing in Georgia next week, twice! First in Atlanta at Center Stage on Thursday, June 10 (Sold Out!) and then in Athens at the 40 Watt on Friday, June 11 (Tickets are still available, purchase over the phone at School Kids). Both shows are with Broken Bells.
After the whole New York Times debacle involving an untasteful (according to M.I.A.) article which caused her to retaliate by posting the writer’s number on Twitter, crazy lady released “Haters”. Appropriate and probably how she should have handled the whole situation in the first place, but that’s just me.

Also, check out this pretty sweet remix of “XXXO” by Sylaxia.
Her new album, /\/\/\Y/\, is set to be released on June 29th.

A D.I.Y. approach to remixing.
Phoenix released their remix of Grizzly Bear‘s ‘Foreground’ on their website today. It’s Brian Eno + Grizzly Bear + Phoenix + You controlling it = This is really neat and really beautiful remix.
Check it out here.
