It’s Thursday. Friday Eve. It’s getting ridiculously close to Christmas, too, and Atlanta’s Places has a very special treat for us all. It’s a dreamy new gem recorded at The Cottage called “Graves” and I guarantee you’ll listen to it a dozen times in a row.
I really hope y’all are having the most excellent of holidays, I know I am. Anyway, if you guys remember from a few weeks back I shared a really great track from The Coasts – check it out here. Well, now I’d like to share the ENTIRE EP! I completely missed this among a pile of emails, but I’m so glad I found it because I was and still am super excited for this. Check it out below & head on over to their bandcamp to buy the whole thing (portions of the sales go to Hope For Haiti’s Children.)
Austin’s Black Books are prepping to release an EP & debut LP next year via Believe Recordings. To hold us over until then they’ve released “Like You Best” b/w “Shipwrecked” 7″ available now via bandcamp. And y’all have to listen to a-side slow burner, “Like You Best.” This track holds you close until about the three minute then completely lets go, it’s amazing.
If you’re in Austin this Friday, go see Black Books at Mohawk with Good Field, Oh No Oh My and The Baker Family.
Arkansas dudes The Coasts have a new jam AND video that y’all should really check out. It’s called “No One’s LIstening” and it’ll be on their upcoming EP, Sante Fe. It’ll be out some time in December and I am stoked. They’re one of my faves.
