Thanks to the lovely people at Daytrotter, I have been listening to the same four songs on repeat for almost an hour. The Burnt Ones is the band I’m talking about. They’re from Indiana and they totally rock. They have full length LP entitled Black Teeth & Golden Tongues coming out on Roaring Colonel Records in August.
The Burnt Ones are Mark Tester on vocals and guitar; Amy Couch on drums; and Brian Allen on bass. They’re indie rock ‘n’ roll at its finest. Their songs will make you want to get up and move your body.
They are playing some dates on the east coast with Peter Wolf Crier. On June 22, they’ll be in Rock Island, IL and you know what that means? A Daytrotter session. We all know there ain’t no party like a Daytrotter party, well, I’ve never actually been to one, but I’ve listened to pretty much everything on their site. I also have the handy dandy iPhone app. Worth it.
If you don’t believe me when I say, “Burnt Ones are awesome”, go to their Myspace and then tell me you don’t listen to those four tracks over and over and over again. Go on now. Listen to some good music. By the way, they’re on Facebook. Like them because Wholly Roller said so.
