changemodI have really, really talented friends. One of them is Houston-based Nate McKee, the amazing artist behind The Answer Page and changemod. He’s been busy at work writing and recording new material for both projects and recently released an EP for changemod, summer/summer.

Vibes from 90s industrial to shoegaze, y’all need check this incredible EP out for yourselves because it’s great and free to download.

The Houston Chronicle had some lovely things to say in their premiere post for the EP, you can read all about it here. And BONUS, look out for the upcoming print issue, Houston. Also, my pal Jheri over at Decorder recently premiered Datahowler’s remix of the EP’s title track, definitely check that out.

ATL go see Iceage on Sunday at the EARL

Copenhagen’s Iceage released their sophomore effort, You’re Nothing, via Matador back in February. Now they’re touring across the states and will be in Atlanta at the EARL on Sunday, June 9th. I highly recommend checking this band out. The cover is $12 and doors are at 8 pm.

Amber Valentine’s Shriveled Heart & The Skeletons Left Behind is Amber Valentine and Zak Freed. They have released a new single called “Razor’s Edge” that signifies a new chapter for duo. And it’s also the first we’re hearing from their yet to be released album.
